Who is D. Eugene?
Artist Bio
Raised in Harrisburg, PA, and in love with music since before he was born, D. Eugene would kick in utero to the sound of good songs, later seeking escapism in the likes of soul legends Earth, Wind & Fire, Barry White and James Brown.
D’s Aunt would often take him to church as a toddler, nurturing an inherent connection to melodies, harmonies, textures, tones and storytelling, and ultimately igniting a fire that would never fade.
During his teenage years, babysitting for his younger siblings gave D. the opportunity to blast nineties classics at volume, soon imparting a lifelong adoration for acts like Mary J, Faith Evans and Jodeci. As such, his music is undoubtedly rooted in both emotional depth and professional composition, and the resulting style speaks volumes.
